The Scoop

Simply stated: we are a store fit for foodies.  Pro Kitchen Gear wants you to have the tools in the kitchen to make your culinary adventure a success and not a disaster.  Cooking is a fun recreation because there is always a reward for you when you are done... you get to eat! Who doesn’t love to eat?

At Pro Kitchen Gear, we pride ourselves on transparent and honest customer service.  Orders typically ship within 24 hours.  When items are not in stock, you will receive an email within 12 hours allowing you to decide to keep your order open.  We will give you the latest information that we have about the outstanding items.  No gimmicks!

At the end of the day, our customers have the best perspective on what the products and services we offer.  We encourage open communication on our Facebook Page, Twitter or email.

Pro Kitchen Gear does not offer every tool, pan or gadget on the planet.  We are specific and critical of the product lines that we carry.  Customers will be surprised not to find the most popular brands in our store.  We carefully test and select the brands that we carry in order to ensure that we are offering our customers the best products in the business.

For example, Peugeot pepper and salt mills – one of our best selling lines – are the best mills in the industry.  Ever wonder why?  Peugeot is also a well-known car manufacturer and the gears that make their cars famous are the same gears used in the grinding mechanism in the all of their mills.  Obviously, scaled down and redesigned.

The Location

We opened our first brick and mortar location on Saturday, October 29th, 2011 in the incredible town of Greenville, Delaware; a suburb of Wilmington.  We are located at 4021 Kennett Pike, Suite E in Greenville, Delaware 19807.  

Store Hours

Monday through Saturday - 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Sunday - 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Directions

From south of Wilmington: Take 95N to exit 7B, make a left on Delaware Avenue/DE 52 North.  Follow for approximately 5 miles.  Make the right after crossing over the train tracks and passing the sign for Two Greenville Crossing. We are located in One Greenville Crossing next PUFF Gourmet Caters.

From north of Wilmington: Take 95S to exit 7B, make a right on Delaware Avenue/DE 52 North.  Follow for approximately 5 miles.  Make the right after crossing over the train tracks and passing the sign for Two Greenville Crossing. We are located in One Greenville Crossing next PUFF Gourmet Caters.

From Kennett & Chaddsford area: Take Route 1 to DE 52 South.  Follow DE 52 South for approximately 10 miles and we will be on your left just past the traffic light.  You will drive past us to get to the entrance of the shopping center which is right before the next traffic light.

We believe in efficient, simple, low-cost and creative business modeling. Pro Kitchen Gear has two employees that manage the online store including packing and shipping products, processing refunds and ensuring that new items are inventoried into the store.  The team works closely with the owner to find new products and find new ways to evolve the retail business to new heights.

Pro Kitchen Gear is an avid supporter of organizations whose missions feed those less fortunate and promoting fresh, local food across the board.  We have been an avid supporter of Meals on Wheels of Delaware and continue to work closely with the organization to help organize and support events to help provide warm meals to home-bound seniors.

Pro Kitchen Gear is led by Dave McCormick.  Dave is passionate about cooking and is always trying to find new ways to bring food to everyone’s table.  Being enthralled by the food scene in the Philadelphia Metro area for many years, he decided to part with a successful career in technology management to pursue his passions: cooking and entrepreneurship.  You can read more from Dave on the Owner’s Blog.

Hi everyone and thank you for reading about us!  We hope that you enjoy the products that we have and are excited that you are looking at the highest quality cookware, cutlery and chef tools in the industry.

This is not only a business, but this is a passion in motion.  Eating is the one thing we all have in common (besides breathing and taxes), so why not make it great.  I am not a professionally trained Chef, but I respect what they are able to create.  While I’ve enjoyed eating at some of the best restaurants in the country, some of the best meals have been had with friends and family in my own home!
